It took a little over three months, but on June 18, 2021, Deadline announced that the sitcom has been canceled and won’t be returning for a second season.
Unfortunately, we predicted the possibility of a cancellation, in part due to the extremely poor response the show received when it was released.
With a rating of just 4.2 on IMDb and a very low 25% on rotten tomatoes (audience rating 49%), subscribers and critics were unimpressed. In the past, numbers saved a series from breaking down, but in this case it wasn’t enough to save it Dad is embarrassing to me!.
