Slide’s video comes four days after she announced the birth of her son Avyaan Azaad Rekhi. In a long post, she shared that her son was born prematurely on May 14.

Dia Mirza had announced the birth of her son in an Instagram post. “To paraphrase Elizabeth Stone, ‘Having a child is forever deciding to let your heart run around outside your body.’ “These words perfectly illustrate Vaibhav and my feelings at the moment. Our heartbeat, our son Avyaan Azaad Rekhi was born on May 14. Since we arrived early, our little miracle has been cared for by tireless nurses and doctors in the neonatal ICU ever since,” wrote they.

She revealed that during her pregnancy she had an appendectomy followed by a subsequent serious bacterial infection. “Sudden appendectomy during my pregnancy and a subsequent and very serious bacterial infection could have led to sepsis and have been life-threatening. Fortunately, the timely care and intervention of our doctor ensured the safe birth of our baby via emergency caesarean section,” Dia wrote in a message.

The actor married Vaibhav Rekhi earlier this year.
