Youtube superstar and rapper KSI, also known as JJ, announced that he invested millions of pounds in Bitcoin and “lost everything” when the market “crashed”. Nonetheless, he still believes that bitcoin is the future and “in the end you will get $ 100,000 bitcoin, $ 500,000 bitcoin, and $ 1 million bitcoin. It will happen.”
KSI shares its experience with investing in Bitcoin
Famous rapper and popular Youtuber KSI shared his experience of investing in Bitcoin on the Private Parts Podcast, which was released on Thursday.
KSI, whose real name is Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji, is also known as JJ. In 2019, he was named number 2 on the Sunday Times list of the 100 Best British Influencers. He is also part of the UK Youtube group known as Sidemen. The British influencer recently became a vocal fan of the cryptocurrency.
He was asked about a rumor that he had invested “a lot” of money in Bitcoin. KSI then announced that it invested £ 2 million ($ 2.75 million) in BTC in November or December last year, but later lost money when the Bitcoin market collapsed. He said:
Yes, I invested £ 2 million in bitcoin. Well I said bitcoin … [But] This was in cryptocurrencies. I made £ 7 million and now I’ve lost it all.
“I was lucky with the £ 7million, but I should have been smart and put that money into fiat and then just wait for it all to fall and go back in,” he said, admitting he let himself be carried away by the bull market.
KSI added, “It was a long journey but I had to experience it. I really had to dive into the entire crypto space, and you know I fully understand that now. I’ve invested money in things that I essentially got myself into, and I’ve oversteered myself so much that I lost money because I got liquidated, so I put a lot of money into something I did because of the Liquidated bitcoin crashes. “
Commenting on the loss of millions of dollars from investing in cryptocurrencies, the Youtube star said, “I thought, ok, well, big whoop,” and stated:
It is what it is. I will continue. There’s no point in crying over spilled milk, and I realized that in the bear market, you want to invest in things.
He was also asked if investing in Bitcoin was like gambling. He replied, “No, I don’t think so. I don’t think it’s gambling. It is not a game of chance. No no no no. Bitcoin is here to stay. It’s the future. It’s just that nobody wants to accept it … Same with Ethereum. Yes, of course everything fluctuates, but things are looking up. “
If you sit back and look at the big picture, it will slowly go up and you will eventually end up with a $ 100,000 bitcoin, a $ 500,000 bitcoin, and a $ 1 million bitcoin. It will happen.
The famous rapper went on to say, “Maybe it will take 5, 10, 15, 20 years, but it will happen, you have to remember, Bitcoin has no inflation … That’s the great thing about it, it is not controlled by a central bank.”
